This is a sunspace and second floor addition to an
existing, basic single story, post-WWII, frame house.
It was a plain white box, like every neighbor's house.
The exterior of the existing house was also re-sided.
The sunspace is on an intermediate level, between the
main floor and basement. A new upper story bedroom
suite has a balcony overlooking the sunspace, a loft
up in the peak of the roof, and an outdoor balcony
notched into the roof. On a relatively warm mid-
-November day, the house only needs a fairly
small portion of its Solar gain area, so
the insulating window shades are closed.
The rooms are still bright.
